How to capture photos for multi-category audits. Following these rules is critical for getting your submission accepted.
Every photo must be taken head-on, completely straight, and in vertical format. Horizontal photos aren't accepted, and angled photos will be rejected even if the app lets them through.
Each section photo needs exactly 20% overlap with the one next to it — about 2–3 products — so the photos can be stitched into a single panoramic view.
Capture the whole shelf top to bottom, with a clear start and end to every section. Take every photo from exactly the same distance, and avoid large empty areas above or below the shelves.
No carts, people, or fingers blocking the shelves. Wait for shoppers to pass, and move anything movable out of the frame.
Make sure every required product is clear and readable. Photos with significant blur or glare will be rejected.
Before you submit: all photos vertical, in focus, full section left to right, 20% overlap, and nothing blocking the shelves. Keep the app open until your observation fully uploads.
